About Me

Loren Moulton is a Director of Photography based in Bozeman, Montana, specializing in vérité documentary storytelling and outdoor action filmmaking. With over 25 years behind the lens, he is known for capturing authentic, unscripted moments in remote and unpredictable environments—from backcountry hunts to high-intensity field production.

Most recently, Loren has worked as Director of Photography with MeatEater Inc., creating visually driven content rooted in real-world experiences and outdoor culture. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade shooting for Warm Springs Productions on the long-running Mountain Men series, contributing to globally broadcast television and filming in some of the most demanding locations in the world.

What sets Loren apart is his rare combination of cinematography expertise and more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing as a representative for Big Sky Brewing Co. in Missoula, Montana (Moosedool). This dual background gives him a deep understanding of not just how to tell a compelling story, but how to create content that resonates with audiences and supports brand growth.

Loren thrives in run-and-gun environments, often operating as a highly adaptable, self-contained shooter while maintaining a cinematic, story-first approach. His work is driven by a passion for the outdoors and a commitment to capturing real moments as they unfold—honest, raw, and visually engaging.

Whether working in documentary, branded content, or commercial production, Loren brings a strategic mindset to every project, helping translate authentic experiences into meaningful visual stories that connect.

He is currently available for projects as a Director of Photography or Producer, and for select collaborations where storytelling, brand, and audience intersect.
